This beautifully handcrafted Christening bonnet is designed for baby to wear home from the hospital, or on Christening Day and then disassembled to be used as a special handkerchief on his or her wedding day. The bride can carry the handkerchief as "something old" or the groom can present his bride with a lovely "something borrowed"!
Makes a wonderful sentimental gift for expectant or new parents. Hand made from a Venice Lace handkerchief, a most elegant and intricately hand-crocheted cotton handkerchief.

Includes a card with the following words written in script:

I am a little bonnet
as cute as cute can be.
Would you ever guess a
hanky I used to be?
I can be worn home
from the hospital,
Then again on Christening Day.
You can then neatly fold
me and keep me for the Wedding Day.
Every bride must wear
something old - so you can
clip a stitch or two and

Monogram information:

• 1 initial is usually the last name, but may also be the first name. 
• 2 initials are usually the first and last name in the format of FIRST initial, LAST initial. The letters are of equal size.
